About the Optional One-Cent Sales Tax

The 1-Cent Optional Sales and Use Tax is currently in place in Sheridan County to fund various projects of public benefit in Clearmont, Dayton, Ranchester, Sheridan, and throughout Sheridan County.

This one-cent tax has been in continuous effect since 1989, and since its first passage in 1979 has generated over $107 million for community infrastructure and services.
